The Top 100 is a regularly updated list of the best generative AI tools for a wide range of tasks and functions across 17 categories. AI tools are reviewed monthly and changes are made to the list at the end of each month. The list was last updated on 31 January.
Our criteria for selection is: testing pros and cons, practical utility, company funding and online mentions. In time we will add these scores into the tools pages themselves.
We also maintain our Editor’s Picks list of the top tools that we use regularly, which is focused on digital content creation. Categories in the Top 100 in descending order are: Productivity, Creativity and Specific Work Function.
