When I get untuned AI to write out YouTube descriptions it can go in all sorts of directions. It normally returns a load of emojis, which I never specified I want.
Big blocks of text and full of em—dash are other things I don’t really want.
Having gone through this process on basically every upload I decided to write a succinct system prompt that can be used in a CustomGPT, Claude Project or Gemini Gem.
Copy and paste it into the instructions, then feed it your script, transcript or mp3 audio file. It’ll do the rest without the usual annoyances. YouTube descriptions on tap - so long as you have some existing content.
