We’re back on YouTube again this week with an AI tool curation that is going to be pretty freaking handy if you’re creating a lot of content.

Watch on YouTube

I’ve been research gen AI tools in the creator process for several years, and this video is all about my top list. You can also find out more by clicking the links below:

Research and writing

  • ChatGPT – Fast research, idea generation, scripting.

  • Google Gemini – Integrates with Google Docs and Drive.

  • Eleven Reader – Converts your scripts to audio so you can review on the go.

Production

  • Nvidia Broadcast – Real-time webcam upgrades (backgrounds, eye correction, noise removal).

  • Elgato Prompter – Hardware autocue that scrolls as you speak.

  • Prompt Smart Pro – Affordable mobile autocue app.

  • HeyGen – Create digital avatars if you don’t want to be on camera.

Asset creation

  • Midjourney – AI images, strong on style and options.

  • Adobe Photoshop – AI-powered editing features, great for thumbnails and touch-ups.

  • Runway – AI video generation, green screen, and more.

  • Topaz Labs – The best upscaler for sharpening old images and footage.

Editing

  • Firecut – Automates captions, cuts, and more in Premiere Pro (web version available).

  • Autopod – Auto-edits multicam interviews—massive time saver.

Sound

  • Eleven Labs – High-quality AI voiceover and cloning.

  • Descript – Edit audio and video by editing text; also has voice cloning.

  • Adobe Enhance Speech – Free tool to clean up poor audio.

Distribution

  • Opus Clip – Turns long videos into short social clips, ready to post.

  • Submagic – Fast subtitles for social video if you’re not using Firecut or Opus.

You don’t need to have subscriptions for all of these tools at once. At the moment I have six of them, not the full list - but I dip in and out as and when projects demand them.
